Child to Child joins Step up to Serve’s #iwill campaign
Child to Child fully supports the #iwill campaign aim to support young people to engage in social action. Through our UK Hearing All Voices programme, we have been working with young people in schools towards that very goal, supporting them to become actors in their communities, empowering them to become active citizens and enhancing employability and life chances.
Here is our #iwill pledge:
- We will continue to support young people to take action to make positive changes in their lives, schools and communities.
- We will provide systematic training and guidance for teachers and school staff to enable them to support young people to develop the life, learning and language skills they need to take meaningful social action.
- We will develop a community of practitioners to share best practice and deepen understanding on how to support young people’s quality participation and social action.
The #iwill campaign, coordinated by the charity Step up to Serve, was launched in November 2013 by patron HRH The Prince of Wales with the support of the three main political parties.
