Research and Evaluation

This service includes designing monitoring and evaluation frameworks and designing and implementing child-led research.

Child to Child was recently part of a consortium commissioned by the Legal Directorate of the European Commission to evaluate legislation, policy and practice on child participation in the European Union. Child to Child was responsible for working with 11 partners in 5 countries, supporting them to undertake child-led research as part of the study. We were also responsible for producing a child-friendly report summarising the key findings and recommendations from the study.

The insights from Child to Child added real value to the study by helping to ensure that children and young people’s perspectives were captured in the findings and recommendations to the European Commission, and that the study reflected children’s everyday lived experiences of participation. Child to Child was able to engage some of the most vulnerable children in society and to design activities that were socially and culturally meaningful to them.
