The INGO Children’s Participation Forum

The INGO Children’s Participation Forum meets in London three times a year. It is organised by Child to Child, with experts from other organisations being part of the Steering Group.

November 2013: Professor Priscilla Anderson, Dr. Vicky Johnson and Gerison Lansdown, three leading children’s rights experts, unpacked the concept of participation and helped the Forum to reach a shared understanding and definition.

May 2014: Dr Vicky Johnson and Karen Baker, facilitated a workshop to introduce the Children and Young People’s Participation (CYPP) Training Workshop Guiderecently published by ChildHope, which they co-authored.

December 2015: the Forum members discussed how to do research with small children, before listening to Annania Admassu from CHADET and his experience working on girls’ migration in Ethiopia.
