Child to Child is a pioneer of the children’s participation movement, based on the concept first developed in 1978 by Founders Dr. David Morley (Institute of Child Health) and Dr. Hugh Hawes (Institute of Education). Since then, Child to Child became a formal organisation that championed children's right to participate in matters concerning them, and offered capacity building services that spanned the spectrum of international development organisations. The award-winning Child to Child Approach has now been mainstreamed by a number of leading organisations working with children and young people, and has continued relevance today. This resource centre has been developed as a platform for researchers, practitioners and others interested in the work of Child to Child. Here, you will be able to access resources regarding the meaningful participation of children.

As an urgent response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Child to Child network of technical experts and practitioners collaborated to produce a set of resources to support children and communities to navigate through this difficult time. There are 10 messages spanning information about COVID-19, prevention, stigma, feelings, child safety, learning – in all of which children can play an active role in their families, communities and with their peers.
In order to gather data on how widely this might be used and with whom, we ask that you complete this short questionnaire before using the resource.
After using the resource, we would be grateful if you could fill out the other questionnaire here.
