Call for conference presentation proposals on children’s rights

The newly established Institute for Human Development (IHD) at the Aga Khan University invites proposals for presentations at its inaugural conference to be held in Nairobi, Kenya on 12-14 February 2015. Proposals will be accepted until 21 November 2014.

The presentations should address one or more of the following issues:

• Child rights/social protection/social justice
• Meeting the needs of vulnerable children: children impacted by developmental disabilities and health impairments, HIV infection and AIDS, and other forms of developmental adversity; children growing up under conditions of conflict, social strife, political turmoil, or rampant natural disasters
• The role of industry and public-private partnerships in child care and ECD provision
