Taster Session on Child to Child’s step approach
A one-day introduction for Programmers and Facilitators on Child to Child’s step approach for children’s participation in health and development

On Monday 12 December, Child to Child is organising a one-day introduction course for programmers and facilitators at the Institute of Education, London. It will run from 9:00 to 16:00.

This course aims at introducing Child to Child’s step approach to the participants.
By the end of the day, the group will have been introduced to:
- the nature, role and potential of the Child to Child movement as expressed in the principles and characteristics of the approach;
- the role of children as partners in providing better health and enhancing health knowledge and practice for other children, their families and communities;
- the methodologies used in programmes implementing the Child to Child’s step approach, designed to link learning directly to health action in the home and community;
- techniques to monitor and evaluate children’s participation;
- the material resources produced by Child to Child; and
- the range of training and consultancy support an organisation might require to successfully organise, launch and run a locally-based course to initiate or improve Child to Child’s step approach.
