New Open University Curriculum on children’s rights for health workers in East Africa

Gerison Lansdown, Chair of Child to Child, helped design a new course for health workers in East Africa – Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. Launched by the Open University, the course is free and available online. It will focus on children’s rights and role in being in charge of their health.

The course comprises five modules:
- Module One: Childhood and children’s rights
- Module Two: Children’s right and the law
- Module Three: Children’s rights and health practice
- Module Four: Children’s rights in the environment: role of the health worker
- Module Five: Children’s rights: planning, monitoring and evaluation
