Started in October 2014, Palenques Infantiles is a project which encourages the organisation of AfroPeruvian children to analyse their situation, recognise their rights, and have their voices heard by society.
Since January 2014 we have supported 30 organisations in Eastern Europe and East Africa, that receive funding from the Oak Foundation’s Child Abuse Programme, to incorporate Child Rights programming principles into their work.
Since 2013, Child to Child in partnership with AbleChild Africa has been implementing a three-year project to improve disabled children’s access to and success in primary school.
Since 2013 Child to Child has been implementing an adapted version of Getting Ready for School in post-disaster areas in Pakistan in collaboration with local partner,the Teachers’ Resource Centre. The project also incorporates a focus on disaster risk reduction.
Since 2012, we have been partners in a consortium commissioned by the European Commission to assess the legislation, policy and practice of child participation across the 28 member states of the European Union.
Since 2011 Child to Child has been working in the very remote and isolated district of Kailahun in eastern Sierra Leone with local partner – Pikin to Pikin – implementing an adapted version of Getting Ready for School.
In 2013 Child to Child was commissioned by the Romeo Dallaire Child Soldiers Initiative to develop resources intended to prevent the recruitment of children into armed groups in Sierra Leone.
Since 2011, Child to Child has been working with marginalised students in London to create an environment where children and young people are listened to and taken seriously.
